Contract renewals. What’s the best solution in your opinion?

Keep it as it is: players don’t sign a new contract if they don’t play enough for their needs

Bring back journeyman: a player who seem to travel from club to club and never really stays in one club for many seasons

A merge of the two: players don’t sign a new contract if they don’t play enough for their needs but that can go to a refusal also for a strong player in the lower divisions or for a player that has been in the same club for a long time and want a fresh start

I don’t get it. I’ve got a player with excellent morale who doesn’t want to renew? What’s the point of morale?

Laurens,
morale accounts for about 15% of the player's decision making about a contract renewal, so it's important to have it high but it's not enough on its own.

The only problem I see with players who you want to keep but they dont want to renew their contract is that there are not enough current managers who actually want to buy so the chance of them leaving as a free agent becomes high. That is not very fair to get nothing in return for a player you actually want to keep anyway.
